Jane completes the album!!!!
18 Mar '08
Jane has finally finished all recording for the follow up album to Montpelier. The album's off to be mastered and the artwork is currently being put together. There's much discussion about how we're going to launch it here at Bicycle head quarters, but we can say that everyone who's had a secret sneaky listen in advance (very close label personnel, family and friends only of course)has been spotted crying, laughing and looking generally over excited. Lighters in the air, jumping up and down and shouts of 'Christmas Number one!!' have all added to the general cheeriness of all involved in said album.
'I love my album' says Jane. 'Whatever happens now, I feel like I made the one I wanted to make.' and 'Colin Elliot is a genius'.
We will be posting up the very latest news here from now on, regarding the album. It's all been a bit focused on the recording, which is why the site's been a bit low on info. Sorry, we need more hands really! But all will be changing soon. Oh yes...
Jane to open for Noel Hogan (The Cranberries)
6 Nov '07
Jane has been asked to open for Arkitekt, (the band created by Noel Hogan, the guitarist from the much loved Cranberries, and front man Richard Walters)in London, in November.
The unmistakable musical chemistry between Noel and Richard is now creating a new buzz and new tunes. With the "bones of an album" together, with mixes by Bernard Butler (ex Suede/McAlmont & Butler) this promises to be a very interesting band to check out.
Book early as this is an intimate venue, very special, but best that you're on a nice seat somewhere with a table rather than stood at the back.
Arkitekt gig cancelled

Jane and her band will be recording her second album up in Sheffield with Mercury Nominee Producer Colin Elliot (Producer of Richard Hawley's 'Coles Corner') in October. After completing two tracks with Colin in June, everyone agreed that Colin was a bit like the fifth Beetle and that they really should make the whole album together. The album will be released early next year...yes, finally and we're booking her UK promotional tour right now!

Jane on Johnnie Walker Show
20 Feb '06
The reaction to Jane's live session on Johnnie Walker's Drive Time show on Thursday Feb 2nd was phenomenal. Texts and e-mails to the show flooded in and according to Johnnie Walker's team, the show received more texts and e-mails than usual for a guest artist who wasn't already a major star with a 6 album record deal...and every one of them said they just loved the songs and the session.
So thank you to all those people that wrote in and supported what Jane's doing. There were loads of hits to the website and the guys at Disc 'n' Tape record shop in Bristol are now very busy packing all those cd's into jiffy bags! God bless them. They're all on there way to you!
Keep an eye on the gigs page. Jane's now got a new agent and so expect there to be lots of new gigs added over the next month or two.

Jane to play live on Johnnie Walker Show
10 Jan '06
Jane will be performing a live session on Johnnie Walker's Drive Time show on Thursday Feb 2nd at 6.25pm with her guitarist Neil Gay and thousands of supportive and encouraging friends all around the UK listening in! After receiving such a terrific response from playing the opening album track 'Fall on Me' on his show, Johnnie e-mailed Jane to let her know that he loved the album and to ask if she would come in to the studio and play live on his show. What a lovely man.
This is Jane's first appearance on national radio. Much celebrating will be had afterwards! We'll keep you posted with what how it went and what the response was like.
